Missed appointment (no-show)

In accordance with national guidelines, dentists and dental hygienists charge the costs for a missed appointment; that is €2.00 per minute and depends on how long the appointment is (declaration code is C90: “Missed appointment). These costs are not covered by your (supplementary) health insurance and you must therefore pay them yourself. Unfortunately, we too are confronted with these problems. It happens regularly that patients do not turn up for their appointment, or arrive far too late. That is very unfortunate, because a team is ready and waiting that cannot provide care to anyone during that time. This is valuable time that we would gladly have spent on someone else.

Your responsibility as a patient

It is your responsibility as a patient to note an appointment carefully, to keep it, or to reschedule it at least 2 working days in advance. On request an appointment card is also provided at the reception desk. Sending appointment reminders is an extra service that we offer.

Rescheduling free of charge is possible on working days at least 48 hours in advance

If you contact us by telephone at least 48 hours in advance (working day), you can change a scheduled appointment free of charge, guaranteed. We then have enough time to give the freed-up slot to another patient. Is there less time in advance? Then please get in touch anyway. We are happy to look for a solution with you and will, where possible, cooperate with your wishes. Changes can only be passed on by telephone and/or by email during the week.

Have you suddenly fallen ill, or is there another emergency that prevents you from coming to your appointment? Then call as soon as possible, at the latest early in the morning on the day itself, to let us know.

For a pleasant cooperation...

Are you making an appointment for a check-up or a treatment at our practice?

  • Note the appointment in your diary straight away;
  • Not entirely sure of the date or time anymore? Call us as soon as possible;
  • Have you not received a reminder? First check the 'spam' or 'promotions' box of your email;
  • When in doubt, always get in touch. After all, prevention is better than a ‘no-show’ for everyone involved;
  • Make sure you are present 5 minutes before the start of your appointment and check in at reception.

PAYMENTS

You receive our invoice via the factoring company Infomedics. Infomedics will claim the costs from your supplementary insurance. If no reimbursement can be obtained, Infomedics will send this invoice to you, to the email address you have provided. If you wish to receive a paper invoice, we ask you to make this known at the reception desk. For questions about your invoice you can call during office hours on 071 - 2020012.
